Gathering Inspiration to Grab Hold of Your Dreams

by Anne Marie Esposito, President and Founder, Sparklefly Candle Company, Inc.

Over the past week, I grabbed a lot of inspiration from the newsfeed of my sweet little niece (who is actually not so little anymore).  She inspires me often; although she doesn't know it.  Well, at least until now.  Here are a few of her VERY timely and inspiring posts that helped her aunt keep pushing along and I hope also gives you a bit or more of inspiration to do the same.

It is a choice isn't it?  Not an easy one, although it may seem like that on the surface and who knows. Maybe there are those supermen and superwomen out there that find this choice to be a simple one to make AND take action on.  But, that's not always the case, at least not with me.  DREAMS are sometimes blocked by REALITY, RESPONSIBILITY, um maybe even EXHAUSTION.  Sometimes you can get lost in a dream.  It's nice and cuddly and soft inside that dream.  But what happens when you spend too much time there and not enough time making that dream part of your reality?  I can tell you what happens.  NOTHING.  I have seen this nothing happen, it's not pretty.  Beauty comes from giving that dream LIFE.  And you can't just chase a dream, you have to GRAB IT with both hands and let it lift you off your feet.

There it is.

What if you fall? What if you get hurt? What if it's hard work? What if .....?

Hey, I get that. I do. I am pragmatic. Seriously, I am. You SHOULD consider your "what if's" and consider them well. That is part of honing and creating your dream.  A very important part. But, I AM NOT a killer of dreams. I believe with all my heart that a dream worth dreaming is a dream worth falling for.  You never know, you just may fly. You might catch that inspirational wind that drives you and motivates you and pushes you beyond what you thought was possible and lifts you up into the air. Holding on for dear life but with exhilaration and hope.

So, how do you do that? How do you let yourself fly?

This is the hardest part, are you ready?

Take deep breaths. Keep moving forward. Focus on what's working. DROP what is not working. Surround yourself with positivity, you are going to need every last drop of it. Find the silver lining but don't manufacture one. Open yourself up to the rainbows and stars.

My adorable niece and I, always smiling together.  Love HER!  Such a beautiful woman, wife, mother and my witty best friend.  We all need to surround ourselves with people who possess and are willing to share their beauty and are not afraid to inspire. XO
